Virginia Pre-Licensing Course

REQUIRED to Sit for the Exam

The 16-Hour Course will be delivered over a two-day period. For course monitoring purposes, there will be a minimum of four sign-in periods as shown on the following schedule. Photo ID will be required at each morning sign-in. There will be one 20 minute break each morning and afternoon. Lunch is on-your-own each day.

About the Instructor

Ms. Koogler is President/CEO of The Koogler Group, LLC, an educational design firm, founded in 1986, specializing in pre-licensing, regulatory compliance, and CE/CLE courses for title insurance professionals. With more than 30 years title insurance experience, Ms. Koogler has authored many text books - including the Virginia Study Manual for Title Insurance, the official pre-licensing text book of the Virginia Land Title Association.

Virginia Licensing Information - Online Services Available in Virginia

Virginia's new Sircon for StatesTM solutions provides online licensing services such as appointments and producer access to status and updates.  These services are completely paperless and web-based, expediting the licensing processes.

Obtaining Credit For Published Courses
  • Self-study examinations must be proctored in a manner approved by Pearson VUE. The proctoring process must ensure the examination will be completed by the student on a closed book basis and without assistance.
  • The proctor must be over the age of 18 years and unrelated to the student; for a complete list of acceptable proctors, please refer to the Continuing Education FAQs link on this page.
